Some Tottenham fans believed Jurgen Klopp had gotten his desire of a rematch after the most recent update regarding their Women’s Super League matchup against Liverpool.

After a misunderstanding between VAR and the on-field referee resulted in Luis Diaz’s goal being disallowed for offside, Klopp shockingly suggested on Wednesday that repeating the match between Spurs and Liverpool would be the fairest decision (Guardian).

Despite Liverpool’s efforts to escalate the incident, Klopp has drawn a lot of criticism for his statement (Mirror), and numerous sources have made it apparent that the Premier League will not even contemplate repeating the game (Football Insider).

Tottenham vs Liverpool will not be replayed

However, when a message from the club’s app said on Thursday: “Our home league clash with Liverpool has been rescheduled,” several Spurs supporters feared the worst.

According to The Daily Mail, this prompted some Tottenham fans to believe that the match would truly be replayed. One fan tweeted, “I fell off my chair,” while others wrote, “Heart was in my mouth” and “that gave me a mild heart attack.”

The notice, however, actually linked to a revised date for the Women’s Super League matchup between the same two clubs, with the Spurs vs. Liverpool WSL game at Leyton Orient’s Brisbane Road scheduled to begin at 12.30 pm on November 12.

There is no question that when the Tottenham administrators issued the notification, they knew exactly what they were doing. Although it appears that they almost gave some Spurs fans a heart attack in the process, in a way it is a good way to tease Klopp and Liverpool.

Richarlison and Son Heung-min do not appear to be able to play together, according to Louis Saha, who also pushed Tottenham to sign Ivan Toney in January.

Richarlison started the season as the nine player, but the Brazilian striker was scoreless in his first three outings.

Could Ivan Toney solve Tottenham’s problems?

The Brentford star, in Saha’s opinion, possesses all the qualities necessary to succeed at a team like Tottenham.

Ivan can adapt to any team, the Frenchman told Betfred when questioned about Spurs’ alleged interest in Toney. He has a very strong mind, so I have faith that he will make the best choice for himself.

Due to his strength and technical prowess, he can play for any squad. Ivan is incredibly mobile and possesses the necessary skills to play as a striker for any team.

“With so many alternatives available at the best teams, Manchester United definitely needs additional options up front. Ivan may possibly transfer to Tottenham because they need a striker because Son Heung-min and Richarlison’s current strikeforce combo isn’t very effective.

“All we know is that a lot of teams will be interested in signing him in January, and I’m sure he would be a key player at a big club rather than just being another member of the squad.”

Tottenham won’t try to sign Toney in January, I’m certain of that. For the time being, Postecoglou seems content with Son and Richarlison as his alternatives up front, therefore I do not anticipate Spurs to start shopping for a center-forward until next summer.
