It is said that the midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Napoli, is considered surplus to requirements at Spurs, with some intermediaries said to have put forward his name to the Giallorossi.

The outlet points out that Jose Mourinho has already worked with the Frenchman at Spurs and suggests that the North London club might be willing to loan the player out with an option to buy.
In addition, it is asserted that Galatasaray have temporarily put their negotiations with Tottenham for Ndombele on hold, which has potentially opened the door for Roma to swoop for the former Lyon man.
However, Calciomercato.it add that the Spurs star is not the only option the Serie A club are eyeing, with PSG’s Renato Sanches and Leandro Paredes also on their shortlist.
I have been surprised by the lack of interest from Serie A clubs in Ndombele this summer as the 26-year-old was by no means terrible for Napoli last season.
However, I have no doubt that Tottenham would be keen to sell the midfielder permanently this summer rather than loaning him out again.

Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer Kane joined Bayern Munich just 24 hours before Tottenham got their season underway on Sunday.
Scoring was not the problem for the visitors in Postecoglou’s first competitive match in charge as defenders Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal struck early and late in the first half.
But in between times, Tottenham’s defensive frailties were exposed as Brentford equalised through Bryan Mbeumo’s penalty and then went in front thanks to Yoane Wissa’s deflected effort.
“It is either an impediment to you or an opportunity,” said Postecoglou of Kane’s exit.
“Harry Kane was massive figure for this club for a long time and will continue to be whether he is in the building or not.
“We wanted to go out and give our supporters some hope and belief in the team. I thought they did that today.”
When pressed on whether Postecoglou had spoken to the playing group in depth about Kane’s departure, the Australian had the perfect response.
“I think I also said that football clubs move on pretty quickly,” Postecoglou said, referencing a previous conversation with reporters where he said he had not addressed the Kane situation with the playing group.
“I haven’t needed to address it, I haven’t needed to give them a warm fuzzy cuddle just to see how they are. We had a game to prepare for and they knew that.
“I think that was the important thing for us. If it felt like we were distracted, I was distracted or anyone else, I think you would have seen evidence of it today, particularly after that first half and the way it went.”
Instead, Tottenham secured a draw and considering the number of new faces they had, the resilience Spurs showed after going down 2-1 was a “good sign” according to Postecoglou.
“We showed a real resilience that we’re going to need because it’s going to be a challenging year for sure,” Postecoglou added.
“We’re going to need that when we lose our most influential defender at 1-0 when we’ve already got two guys making their debut in the back four.
“If you concede goals that are kind of out of your control, the fact that they showed the resilience they did was a good sign.”
