Report: Club now take a major step to stop Tottenham from signing their ‘special player’

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou’s team is up against competition in their attempt to recruit Fulham center defense Tosin Adarabioyo.

The London Evening Standard, which has reported on Fulham’s plan for Adarabioyo, claims as much.

What information has been released regarding Tosin Adarabioyo, the Tottenham Hotspur target? Let’s examine this.

Fulham to offer Tottenham Hotspur target Tosin Adarabioyo new contract

The London Evening Standard claims that Fulham will “imminently” make Tosin Adarabioyo an offer for a new deal. At the end of the current campaign, the defender’s contract with the Premier League team expires.

The 26-year-old center defender is wanted by Fulham to remain at Craven Cottage through the summer of 2024.

According to the London Evening Standard, Adarabioyo is interested in signing a pre-contract with AC Milan or Napoli in January. The defender is reportedly a top target for Tottenham Hotspur as well.

My View: Tottenham Hotspur do not need Tosin Adarabioyo now

Tosin Adarabioyo is not a player Tottenham Hotspur needs to sign during the January transfer window, in my opinion. Spurs don’t currently need another center back, in my opinion.

After all, Radu Drăgușin, a 21-year-old Romanian international central defender, recently joined Spurs from Genoa.

Right now, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou’s primary center backs. This season, Tottenham wants to place among the top four teams in the Premier League.

Even if Fulham manager Marco Silva calls Adarabioyo “a special player” and “one of the leaders” at the London clubs, I do not think he would be able to break into the Tottenham first team at this time.

Adarabioyo has thus far in his career made 66 appearances in the Premier League. In those contests, the 26-year-old English defender has 14 clean sheets and two goals.
