Report: Club have ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Tottenham centre-back target

Radu Dragusin, a target for Tottenham, has a gentleman’s agreement with Genoa that allows him to depart in January if a good bid comes in.

Using social media, Tutto Juve writer Mirko Di Natale recently claimed that the Spurs were among several teams considering a deal for Dragusin, who since switched to Rossoblu has become one of the best young center-backs in Serie A.

The reports, however, were shot down by Fabricio Romano, who stated a few days prior that the 21-year-old is anticipated to sign a new contract at Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

The center back will be allowed to leave the Italian team in January, it is explained, provided they receive an offer for the player that is worth €30 million (£26.2 million).

The source also reports that several Premier League teams are reportedly interested in Dragusin, with Spurs reportedly up against Newcastle and Brighton for the young player.

It was obvious that the Fabio Paratici and Leonardo Gabbanini regime had Dragusin as a target. With the recent overhaul of the recruitment department, it is unclear if the North London club still has the Romanian on its wishlist.

Sources: Tottenham’s offer for Samuel Iling-Junior may be accepted by Juventus

In the January transfer window, Juventus may be willing to let go of Samuel Iling-Junior, who is a target for Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.

After losing Serie A points, the Turin giants are still in a vulnerable financial position and may have to let go of the 20-year-old if the right offer comes along.

It’s thought that Juventus will wait for a “attractive” offer for Iling-Junior, who the Spurs have identified as a top target.

The fact that the England Under-21 international’s contract only runs until June 2025, though, is another element that might work in Tottenham’s favor.

On Friday, November 17, Football Insider disclosed the Lilywhites’ interest in Iling-Junior.

Following a spate of injuries, sources have also told Football Insider (November 18) that Spurs are considering three attacking options, including the 20-year-old, before January.

After groin surgery for Richarlison and long-term injuries to Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic, manager Ange Postecoglou wants to add another wide attacker to his team.

Iling-Junior has played for Juventus 22 times overall and has made four appearances in Serie A this season, recording one assist.

Spurs are currently attempting to convince the England Under-21 international, who rose through the ranks at Chelsea before joining Juventus in 2020, to go back home.

At the conclusion of this season, he will have just 12 months left on the contract he signed in December 2022.

Spurs are doing well in the Premier League; after 12 games, they are ranked fourth.

But it appears that recent injuries to players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison have seriously hurt their campaign; without them, Postecoglou’s team lost consecutive games to Wolves and Chelsea.
