Report: £55m Tottenham ace won’t join former club in January with return blocked

Given that Giovani Lo Celso, an Argentine international, is having difficulty finding playing time at Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur, Real Betis is unlikely to make a move for the player during the January transfer window.

Giovani Lo Celso’s performances during that Australian tour suggested that his Tottenham Hotspur career could begin anew, despite Ange Postecoglou’s glowing preseason praise for the former Paris Saint-Germain playmaker. When asked about the connections to Lo Celso a few weeks ago, Real Betis president Angel Haro responded, “I’m not aware that there have been additional movements,” to Estadio Deportivo.

“I believe that these allegations are more rumors than news.”
