24-year-old’s banner has been removed from current stadium after claims Chelsea want to sign him
According to The Athletic, this is perhaps down to the uncertainty over his future with the club, after reports that Chelsea are interested in signing him.
The Blues have been linked with the signing of Adams as they begin to get a bit more desperate to address the midfield situation at Stamford Bridge going into next season.
This has occurred due to the difficult scenario surrounding Moises Caicedo. They have made the Ecuador international their number one target this summer.
However, they have not really made much progress in negotiating with Brighton, who are sticking to their guns when it comes to an asking price for the player.

This has reportedly seen the Blues begin to look elsewhere when it comes to new signings to reinforce the middle of the park.
The aim is to find a partner for Enzo Fernandez, who has impressed greatly since the club-record transfer back in January.
Adams is one of the names they have considered as a back-up, with them reportedly being in touch with Leeds to understand what may happen with the deal.
The USA international was nowhere to be seen yesterday as Leeds got their campaign underway with a dramatic 2-2 draw with Cardiff.
It feels as if Chelsea will make a move for the 24-year-old if they fail to secure a deal for Caicedo, and at that point will very much be scraping around for numbers to help a position that does need reinforcing.
However, it does seem as if it’s going to be a big week as far as the Moises Caicedo transfer is concerned
