The American professional baseball franchise, the Cincinnati Reds, is situated in Cincinnati.Prior to joining the National League (NL) in 1890, they were a charter member of the American Association and play Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the NL Central Division.[3][4]

Before moving to the Central division in 1994, the Reds competed in the NL West division from 1969 to 1993. They were known as the “Big Red Machine” at the time and featured Hall of Fame players Tony Pérez, Joe Morgan, and Johnny Bench in addition to the controversial Pete Rose.

 

They were the most dominant team in baseball for a number of years in the 1970s, most notably winning the World Series in 1975 and 1976.

 

In total, the Reds have won ten division crowns, nine NL pennants, one AA pennant, and five World Series championships. Great American Ball Park, which opened in 2003, is the team’s home field. ‘

 

Since 2006, Bob Castellini has led the Reds as their CEO. The Reds have an overall win-loss record of 10,857–10,681–139 (a.504 winning percentage) from 1882 to 2023.[5]
