Paul Merson has expressed his admiration for Pedro Porro’s ability to own up to his mistakes regarding the Spaniard.
After initially joining Spurs on loan from Sporting Lisbon in January of last year, Porro’s move became permanent in the summer.
It took him a few games to adjust, but ever since, he has been outstanding for the Spurs.
And he has disproved the opinions of many skeptics, such as Tim Sherwood and Paul Merson.
Merson acknowledged that he had misjudged Porro’s potential.
In an interview with Sportsskeeda, Merson discussed the Spanish full-back, saying:
“Pedro Porro has been excellent too, even though I thought he would struggle in the Premier League.”
Porro has had a significant impact, particularly in the future.

“I always think Ange would be a great coach for the team because of it. The squad is strong, the chairman is making significant changes, and we’re working toward it. There are still many games in the Premier League, which is really tough. Talking about winning something right now would be immature. We treat every game as a final and approach it accordingly.
