With another earned victory over Fulham this evening, Tottenham Hotspur maintained their rather impressive start to the season.
Heung-Min Son and James Maddison’s goals made Spurs’ attacking play lethal once more, securing another three points for the team.
In addition, Sky Sports analyst Jamie Carragher praised Spurs defender Micky van de Ven while Maddison and Son will likely garner the most attention.

At the break, Carragher praised the Dutchman for the move that helped set up Son’s opening goal on Sky Sports.
Van de Ven says, “You know what I’m going,” there are two strikers up there, and he rushes into midfield. I think that touch is absolutely out of this world from Van de Ven. This is the man they are trying to get the ball in Lukic, and you talk about being on the front foot, Carragher added.

When Spurs paid a lot of money on the 22-year-old, some people raised an eyebrow, but he is turning out to be a great acquisition.
Van de Ven and Romero currently have one of the league’s top pairings, and he appears to have been playing in England for a long time.
Ange Postecoglou will be happy with his defense, as Van de Ven is very almost overtaking Romero as the top defensive player.
This year, it feels like the Spurs are the genuine deal. Additionally, a title challenge might be in the works.

James Maddison, a star for Tottenham, scored his second goal of the year on Monday night against Fulham.
James Maddison of Tottenham made an unfortunate mistake during Sky Sports’ post-game interview with the midfielder on Monday evening. Following his team’s 2-0 victory over Fulham, the England international’s media responsibilities were in danger of being derailed due to technical issues. As the playmaker spoke with Dave Jones, Jamie Carragher, and Gary O’Neil, he complained about a sound problem with his headset.
In the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tunnel, Maddison commented to a Sky Sports reporter standing next to him, “I can actually hear Marco Silva’s interview in my ear now.” The former Leicester City midfielder hesitated after that and gestured to his headphones, much to Carragher’s amusement.
“What’s he saying?” asked the pundit in jest. It elicited Maddison’s hilarious response: “He’s saying Maddison’s goal was excellent, I think.” Before Maddison continued, Wolves manager O’Neil, Carragher, and Jones all laughed at the remark: “You’re louder (on the headphones), Dave, but I can just hear it in the background.”
“We’ll try to sort that out as we go, James, we’ll try to remedy that,” Jones then retorted. After Sky Sports swiftly repaired the technical issue, Maddison thanked “whoever did that” and went on to discuss his great performance in the victory over Fulham.
On Monday, the former Leicester City player excelled, scoring Spurs’ second goal to help the Londoners recover first place in the Premier League and extend their winning streak to nine games. The goal by Maddison occurred just after the halftime break. After receiving a deft pass through from Son Heung-min, who had already scored the first goal, he slid the ball past Bernd Leno.
