Newcastle ‘preparing an offer’ for winger – Club will sell for €30-€40m – Report
According to German outlet BILD, Newcastle are ‘preparing an offer’ for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jesper Lindström.
Frankfurt are said to be ‘demanding’ between €30-€40m after previously rejecting an offer of €25m from fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The report states that we have ‘concrete interest’ in the Danish international, who attracted interest from Arsenal back in May, as a backup to Bukayo Saka. AC Milan are also thought to be keen on the 23-year-old.
While Sandro Tonali is on the verge of signing for the club, our pursuit of right-sided attacker has suffered a couple of setbacks over the past week, with James Maddison joining Spurs and Dominik Szoboszlai looking all set for Liverpool.
Lindstrom scored nine times last season and is known for his versatility, being able to operate down either flank or as a No 10. Time will tell if we do make a move, but reports in Germany suggest he’s another name on our list of attacking targets.
