Micky Hazard says Spurs youngster will ‘be the best’ they’ll ever have in his position

Micky Hazard, a former Tottenham Hotspur player, predicted that Destiny Udogie would become “the best left-back we’ve ever had” at Spurs.

The “superb” 20-year-old was lauded by the Lilywhites legend after Tottenham won the Premier League title on Saturday.

With six points and two ties after eight games, Spurs defeated Luton 1-0 to move atop the table.

With his first goal for Tottenham since joining the club in the summer, Micky van de Ven gave the game’s first goal in the 52nd minute.

After James Maddison, a fellow summer signing, cut the ball back from a short corner, the Dutchman pushed the ball home.

Udogie, meanwhile, put on another strong performance, passing the ball efficiently, distributing it well, and also doing well defensively.

In response to a fan on X, Hazard expressed his admiration for the Italian and his belief that the player might become a star for Spurs.

Numerous football experts, like Fabrizio Romano, predicted Udogie’s success when Tottenham signed him.

He stayed put at Udinese last season in accordance with the conditions of the contract, but now we’re finally getting to see how brilliant he is.

I hope Hazard is correct and Udogie can continue to shine for Tottenham. Clearly, it’s still early, but who knows?

He handled Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka effectively in recent weeks, proving that he is capable. Additionally, his career is just getting started, therefore the potential is enormous.

The Premier League can be difficult for some players to adjust to, but the 22-year-old central defender has adapted to English football like a duck to water.

The 22-year-old was solid at the defense in the first half and resisted giving in to Luton attackers’ pressure in the second.
