Making me laugh – Tottenham legend laughs off Manchester United threat

Graham Roberts, a Tottenham Hotspur icon, brushed aside the idea that Spurs should be afraid of Manchester United in their fight for a top four position.

On Sunday, Manchester United defeated Aston Villa, one of their top four opponents, 2-1, to strengthen their position in the Champions League.

He played the entire 90 minutes as Unai Emery’s team lost 2-1 at Villa Park on Sunday in their Premier League matchup with Manchester United.

With three straight victories, Erik ten Hag’s team has climbed to sixth place in the Premier League, six points behind fourth-place Tottenham.

Former Red Devils are already talking up Manchester United’s top four challenge, but Roberts has dismissed the idea Spurs should be concerned.

“[Roy] Keane and [Gary] Neville making me laugh talking like United we should all be in fear,” the Spurs legend posted on X.

At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham came back from behind to defeat Brighton 2-1 on Saturday to get back on track.

Wolves will visit Ange Postecoglou’s team next, and Ten Hag’s Manchester United will visit struggling Luton Town.
