Leeds United midfield target Edouard Michut has been left out of PSG’s travelling squad for their pre-season trip to Japan, as well as star man Kylian Mbappe.
Leeds are midway through their pre-season schedule this month, coming out of a clash with Monaco on the wrong side of a 2-0 scoreline.
Despite seeing the takeover ratified at the start of this week, things look to have gone relatively quiet for the club since bringing in Ethan Ampadu.
Edouard Michut to Leeds?
Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that Leeds were interested in signing PSG midfielder and former Sunderland loanee Edouard Michut.
The 20-year-old midfielder is likely to leave the Parc Des Princes this summer with his pathway to regular action in the first team blocked.
Conditions of the transfer are yet to be confirmed with Leeds potentially loaning him again after he spent last season at the Stadium of Light under Tony Mowbray.
Would Edouard Michut be a good signing?
Leeds have now been boosted in their chances of signing the midfielder, with PSG confirming their pre-season travelling squad for the tour of Japan.
All eyes were on the French club’s shock decision to omit star Kylian Mbappe from the squad for this trip to Asia, but joining him in missing this trip is Michut.
The “unwanted” players have all been training together this week as the rest travel to Japan, and that includes Michut – per Le Parisien and other outlets.
Should Leeds be looking to sign him, it looks as though his club are willing to do a deal to let him leave, massively boosting Leeds’ chances
