This week, Tottenham Hotspur appeared to be the front-runners to recruit Ansu Fati from Barcelona, but it appears that Brighton and Hove Albion have beaten them to the punch.

Tottenham set to miss out on Barcelona’s Ansu Fati to Brighton

In a spectacular change of events last night, Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton swooped in to shatter Spurs’ hearts despite the fact that all indications yesterday pointed toward a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Overnight, Spanish writer Helena Condis Edo stated that Fati initially believed he was going to sign with Tottenham, but is now likely to sign with Brighton.

This is unfortunate for Tottenham, but Ansu Fati is a fantastic addition for Brighton.

Even though Roberto De Zerbi currently has a good team at his disposal, if this trade is approved, they will soon get even better.

Fati hasn’t had much luck at Barcelona over the past 12 months, but we are confident that under a manager like De Zerbi, he will do much better.

Although it isn’t finished yet, it appears to be very, very close to being.
