The good news is that Kristensen now appears to be close to arranging a move elsewhere, which is fantastic news on that front.According to Gianluca Di Marzio, he will have a medical this weekend before going on loan to Roma.
It’s been reported that he will begin training with Jose Mourinho’s team on Monday. It does seem that there are no provisions that may turn the loan into a long-term arrangement.
It would appear to be best for everyone if Kristensen left. Naturally, even while there was a chance he might stay, there was also a chance he might succeed and boost enthusiasm for the Championship.
But it was evident that the 26-year-old didn’t have the support of the crowd. Given their performances for Leeds, the only surprise in this situation is that both he and Diego Llorente were targets for Roma.
He should have a successful season in the Italian city and help Leeds’ efforts to reclaim as much of the £10 million they invested on him as they can.
Liverpool may have to lower their £10million asking price for Nat Phillips amid interest from Leeds United, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The newspaper noted that the Whites, along with Dutch club Feyenoord, are interested in signing the defender this summer.
Liverpool academy graduate Phillips is expected to leave Anfield soon on a permanent deal, added the Liverpool Echo.
Championship team Leeds United and Dutch club Feyenoord are interested, the article continued, “although the Reds may have to lower their £10 million asking price.”
Jurgen Klopp now has access to Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, and Ibrahima Konate, bringing Liverpool’s defense from a dearth of defenders to one that is crowded.
Phillips was one of the defenders thrown into the fire during the earlier phase of the team’s defensive crisis, and the center-back really didn’t disappoint.
Unfortunately for Phillips, his best performances have not been acknowledged at Anfield, and at this point in his career, a summer departure makes perfect sense.
The 26-year-old should be eager for a new challenge and regular playing time, and Elland Road would undoubtedly provide both.

Due to Robin Koch’s temporary departure, Leeds needs defensive reinforcements, and Phillips is an excellent choice for the Whites.
