La Liga club plot raid for €62 million Tottenham classic midielder

According to Fichajes, La Liga club Valencia hope to secure a deal with Tottenham for unwanted midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The French international does not feature in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the season, as Los Che could offer an escape route for Spurs’ record signing.

Tottenham may have done some innovative business in this window and integrated some of their other stars into the mix. But they still have plenty of work with outgoings. Ange Postecoglou has started the season brightly, with the win over Manchester United highlighting the team’s progress under the Australian.

The manager has a bloated midfield, and the club must offload a few players before the transfer deadline. Chief among those is their record €62 million signing Tanguy Ndombele, with the Frenchman not part of Postecoglou’s plans for the season.

There were reports that Postecoglou got incensed with his attitude and asked the club to sell him. While those stories are not confirmed yet, the Tottenham midfielder has no future at the club, despite his decent loan spell at Napoli last season.

There have been clubs looking at Ndombele from France, with Rennes one of the sides keen, but now, Valencia seem hopeful. Los Che are keen to bolster their side with a new midfielder after losing Yunus Musah to AC Milan.

They certainly cannot afford what Tottenham may ask for a permanent deal but might open their doors for a loan. Spurs’ desperation to move the midfielder along as soon as possible could play into Valencia’s hands as they seek an experienced presence for their young side.

While a move to Valencia seems possible, Ndombele might wait to evaluate more offers. Spurs hope to finalise an exit for him and other stars like Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with Atletico Madrid still interested in the latter.

As for Ndombele, Tottenham need to offload the midfielder, with no future in sight in North London. Whether he moves to Valencia remains the question. But if another big-name club arrives, the deal to the Spanish side may not materialise.

Sources: Tottenham and Fulham told to pay record fee to seal Gift Orban deal

KAA Gent are ready to demand a Belgian record fee for Tottenham and Fulham target Gift Orban, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed Gent want between £30-40million to part with the 21-year-old this summer.

The current Belgian record departure is the reported £31.1million paid by AC Milan for ex-Club Brugge man Charles De Ketelaere last summer (2022).

But Gent are in a strong position to demand that interested sides smash that record for Orban this summer.

The Belgian side are aware both Tottenham and Fulham have significant funds at their disposal following the respective sales of Harry Kane and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Orban is also under a long-term contract running until June 2027, having only joined from Norweigan outfit Staebek in January.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Nigerian is likely to be sold for “top dollar” this summer.

He has already managed six goals in six games in the 2023-24 campaign, picking up where he left off last term.

Orban managed 20 goals and two assists across 22 appearances in the second half of the 2022-23 campaign after landing his Belgium move.

Both Tottenham and Fulham are desperate to replace their talismans in the final days of the summer window.

Kane, who has managed 213 total Premier League strikes, netted 30 top-flight goals in the 2022-23 campaign.

Mitrovic struck 15 times across all competitions last term, with 14 of those goals coming in the league.
