JUST IN: Buster signed a deal of $175 million to trade an eagle star

There is currently no indication that the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in parting ways with A.J. Brown,However, the possibility remains open for consideration with the right trade offer. Bleacher Report’s Jake Ellenbogen has outlined several potential trade scenarios for the Eagles involving Brown.

In one suggested trade, the Eagles would receive a package of draft picks from the New England Patriots. It is expected that the Patriots will use their No. 3 overall pick to secure their future quarterback. To compensate for the absence of an additional first-round pick, New England proposes sending three draft picks to Philadelphia.

Although the Patriots possess a high second-round pick at No. 34, which is close to being a first-round selection, they still offer it along with a third-round pick (No. 68) and a fourth-round pick (No. 102) in the 2024 NFL draft. In return, Brown would join the Patriots, while the Eagles would acquire valuable draft assets.

During a live stream on March 7, 2024, Ellenbogen pointed out, “The Patriots only possess one first-round pick. They won’t be trading away the third overall pick. Therefore, offering a second, a third, and a fourth-round pick for Brown seems appropriate.

While it may seem like a hefty package, what better way to usher in a new era of Patriots football than by drafting a franchise quarterback at pick three to complement Brown?”

Brown has consistently delivered high levels of performance, but this level of success comes with a significant cost. In 2023, Brown achieved a career-best with 106 receptions, totaling 1,456 yards and 7 touchdowns, starting every game of the 17-game season.

The standout wide receiver has achieved over 1,400 receiving yards in consecutive seasons. Brown is currently under contract for three more seasons on a four-year deal worth $100 million.

For the 2024 season, Brown’s cap hit stands at a reasonable $12.4 million. However, this figure rises significantly to $26.5 million in 2025 and jumps to a substantial $41.5 million in 2026, coinciding with Brown turning 29 years old.
