James Maddison has now shared what Yves Bissouma did in Tottenham dressing room after returning

What Yves Bissouma did as soon as he got back to Tottenham from the Africa Cup of Nations has finally been revealed by James Maddison.

On his short-lived Instagram story, the 27-year-old shared a video of the international player from Mali.

What then did Yves Bissouma do when he got back to Tottenham? Let’s examine this.

What Bissouma did after returning to Tottenham

AFCON must have taken a lot out of Bissouma – both physically and mentally – so it is nice to see the Malian in good spirits.

Hojbjerg surely sweating as Bissouma returns

Now that Mali lost to the Ivory Coast 2-1 in the AFCON quarterfinals on Saturday, the Tottenham No. 8 is back in north London.

Though some might have expected Bissouma to be exhausted following his time in the Ivory Coast, he didn’t appear exhausted as Maddison captured him bouncing around and dancing to music inside Hotspur Way.

With an exuberant bounce around the dressing room with Emerson Royal, the £25 million man wrote, “he’s been back two minutes,” as the England international captioned the video.

We think that with Bissouma’s return, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s playing time is going to drop considerably.

While Pape Matar Sarr and Bissouma were abroad in the Ivory Coast, the Denmark international was frequently named in the starting lineup.

Now that the African pair is back in the N17, Hojbjerg—who started the majority of the games prior to the AFCON—will undoubtedly return to the bench.

It wasn’t until the end of October that the Tottenham No. 5 made his Premier League debut.

Hojbjerg is a model professional, but when it comes to dribbling past opponents and sprinting into space—a crucial skill for any Ange Postecoglou midfielder—he lacks the same level of skill as Bissouma and Sarr.

Hopefully, Bissouma, who may receive a new contract soon, is prepared to start for Tottenham right away.
