‘Energetic’ midfield talent is about to be signed by Leeds, according to Fabrizio Romano.
After losing Tyler Adams, Marc Roca, and Brenden Aaronson, Daniel Farke is in a critical need to strengthen his midfield. Recently, they have been associated with many people, including Amiri of Bayer Leverkusen.
Romano made the following remarks about him and Leeds on X.
Fabrizio Romano says Nadiem Amiri to Leeds United is close
Hasn’t the Nadiem Amiri affair been a bit of a rollercoaster for Leeds United supporters?
Fans became further excited when Romano revealed that the Whites had submitted a signing offer to the German a few days prior.
Florian Plettenberg, a writer at Sky Sports Germany, dimmed the joy yesterday by asserting that Amiri had rejected Leeds.
But yesterday, things changed again, and the contract was once more in place.
Romano now supports that assertion and asserts that it is soon to occur.
Early this morning, he tweeted, “Amiri and Leeds United, exclusive story close to being confirmed.”
It would be really exciting for Leeds United to sign Amiri.
The 26-year-old is a talented player who has experience playing for renowned coaches like Peter Bosz, Xabi Alonso, and Julian Nagelsmann.
He is very “energetic,” has great passing range, and will undoubtedly contribute a lot of quality to Leeds’ Championship team this year.
The agreement is not finalized yet, though, and given what has transpired thus far this week, you can never be too confident.
