‘It’s happening’ – Tottenham ready to spend £100m+ to get Harry Kane replacement ‘in the building’, says expert
Tottenham will sign a marquee striker to replace Harry Kane this month – but it could cost over £100million for the goalscoring star they crave.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton believes that Spurs must sign a prolific front man before the end of the window.
Kane joined Bayern Munich for a fee of up to £100million and has already scored and assisted for his new club after an impressive league debut on Friday night.
With a replacement being discussed, Hutton believes that it is a necessity for Spurs, who secured their first win under the management of Ange Postecoglou and in the post-Harry Kane era with a thrilling 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Saturday.

“I mean, we’re talking about Harry Kane, who scores 20 plus goals every single season.
“Where would they have ended up if he didn’t have his goals last season?

“I think, really, if they want to be fighting for those top places and any sort of European football, I think they need to bring somebody in.
“But with that being said, I think it’s probably one of the hardest positions to fill nowadays.
“We’re talking about over 100 million for a defensive midfielder, so what’s it going to cost for one of the top strikers out there?
“But, I think they have to bring in somebody
