‘I’m disappointed’: Paul Robinson says he’s not happy with that Tottenham have done to £12m player recently

Tottenham Hotspur currently has a lot to love.

The north London club is producing some exquisite football on the field, and its manager is one of the friendliest individuals we can recall in the annals of the current Premier League.

Paul Robinson does have one issue with Spurs at the moment, but there will always be some things at a football club that not everyone will agree with.

Hugo Lloris’ status at Tottenham is something the analyst discussed on The Debrief, saying he isn’t too happy with how the Frenchman has been handled lately and that he needs to be treated with lot more respect in terms of his farewell from Tottenham.

Loris merits greater admiration.

Robinson made a judgment about the £12 million goalie.

“To me, Hugo Lloris, it appears that his time at Tottenham is up. However, I’m dissatisfied with how it fizzled out. If this is Hugo Lloris’s last game, he deserves a more dignified conclusion rather than a more elaborate send-off, according to Robinson.

Shame

Lloris’ Tottenham career coming to this unfortunate conclusion is a genuine shame.

Whatever your opinion of the goalkeeper’s recent performance, he has been a terrific employee for Spurs for many years and, in all honesty, he is a living legend.

His recent dismissal is more than unfair, and, to be completely honest, it does leave us with a bad taste in our mouths.

Giving Lloris a decent send-off after more than 10 years of dedicated service isn’t too much to expect, but Spurs do need to move on and not look back.

A few of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham players are on the verge of receiving their fifth yellow card of the year, which carries a one-match suspension.

The 27-year-old would be suspended for Spurs’ home game against Fulham on Monday, October 23, if he received a yellow against Luton. Postecoglou will not want to be without his in-form midfielder for any of the important games that Spurs have coming up against Chelsea, Aston Villa, Man City, and Newcastle United at the beginning of December. However, he would have players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp as options to replace Bissouma in the lineup.

This season, Bissouma is not the only member of Tottenham who has come close to receiving five cautions in the Premier League. With three cautions, Destiny Udogie is second-to-last, and his most recent infraction was in the late triumph over Liverpool.

From their opening seven league games, Tottenham had five players with two yellow cards.The players in question are Richarlison, James Maddison, Cristian Romero, Pape Matar Sarr, and Ivan Perisic, though the Croat won’t be able to serve a potential one-match suspension prior to their 19th league match of the season because of the ACL injury that will keep him out for the majority of the campaign.

Once domestic football resumes after the most recent international break, Spurs play Fulham at home and Crystal Palace away after the Luton Town match. The month of November then begins with Mauricio Pochettino returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with his Chelsea squad as they travel just a short distance across the city.
