Radu Dragusin, a defender for Genoa, is pressing to sign with Tottenham this month because he would want to move to the Premier League.
Over the past week or so, Spurs have been working to finalize a deal for Dragusin, and numerous updates have been provided regarding the progress of the negotiations.
Tottenham is currently concentrating on Dragusin after moving to sign Timo Werner as well.
According to reports that surfaced today, the Spurs are now aiming to complete a deal for Dragusin within the next few days.
And what Football has done to deepen that ambition.Alasdair Gold of London is covering the story.
Gold, who is now writing a report on everything Tottenham, has stated that Spurs have a secret weapon when it comes to obtaining Dragusin.
According to Gold, the Romanian defender would rather play in England and is prepared to turn down offers from other teams, most notably Napoli, in order to join Tottenham.
Naturally, Spurs and their manager, Ange Postecoglou, will be pleased with this.
The Australian wants to add players this month to strengthen his team’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League, and the club views defense as a top priority.
Their season has been somewhat hindered by injuries to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, while Eric Dier is rumored to be headed to Bayern Munich.
Boost for Spurs
Premier League cash is presumably speaking in this case, particularly with regard to the salary that Dragusin is most likely to receive.
Since English teams currently seem to be too good for other leagues to compete with, Dragusin’s desire to join Spurs is understandable.
Of all, life is more than just money, and the fact that Tottenham is succeeding under Postecoglou is also likely to have some bearing.
Given Dragusin’s age and potential, Spurs are anticipated to pay about £30 million to get him done. This will likely be money well spent.
Sky Sports: Tottenham have agreed move to sign “special” new player for Postecoglou – report
It seems the Lilywhites are about to have their man.
Tottenham Hotspur lacks options for scoring goals, even with Heung-min Son competing in the Asia Cup this month. Even if Richarlison’s recent form comeback has given Ange Postecoglou more opportunities going ahead, the Lilywhites have reportedly entered the transfer market to expand their alternatives this month in lieu of Son.
It may turn out to be a pivotal signing for Spurs this season, since the North London team is only one point out of the Premier League’s top four. A deal has apparently been reached.
Tottenham transfer news
Spurs performed well in bringing in players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison during a hectic summer transfer window. They may not have replaced Harry Kane, though. But now that they’ve also lost Son to international duty, it appears that the Lilywhites have taken action this month to give Postecoglou an offensive boost. The Spurs could just be able to narrow the gap and make it into the Champions League this season if the manager can make the most of his rumored impending arrival.
Timo Werner is, of course, the impending arrival. According to earlier rumors, Werner’s Spurs move appeared to be almost finalized. However, a new update indicates that a breakthrough has occurred. Spurs and RB Leipzig have now reached an agreement for Werner to join on loan until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports.
After failing to make an impression at Stamford Bridge, the former Chelsea player will presumably get the opportunity to make amends in the Premier League. If the Lilywhites can get the most out of Werner in the second half of the season, they could score a great deal as the forward’s option to purchase is allegedly worth £15.5 million in the summer.
“Special” Werner has the chance to earn Premier League redemption
Werner’s Chelsea record isn’t very inspiring, but under Postecoglou, he has the opportunity to rekindle the form that initially convinced him to transfer to Stamford Bridge. For the German international as well, it might be a question of now or never because he is no longer in Leipzig’s starting lineup and cannot afford to lose any more time in his career before the summer European Championship. Spurs fans are hoping to surprise the league by signing a forgotten talent.
Even though the forward only managed to score 23 goals and provide 21 assists in 89 games while at Chelsea, former manager Frank Lampard was full of praise for Werner, saying:
“I felt that Werner posed a serious threat to us the entire time, even if he only had a few opportunities and occasionally things don’t work out for him. His speed with the ball is exceptional, and you need players of his caliber to win games. He was incredibly selfless, and you have to depend on the best players.”
