He is not in his Plans: Ange Postecoglou wants to let 26-year-old Spurs man go, he’s not in his plans

Tottenham Hotspur are now working to sell Tanguy Ndombele as he’s not in manager Ange Postecoglou’s plans this season.

Journalist Rudy Galetti was speaking about the 26-year-old’s future to Give Me Sport.

The French international’s time hasn’t gone to plan since joining for a club-record fee from Lyon in 2019.

Several managers have come and gone and struggled to get the best out of Tanguy Ndombele.

He was sent out on loan to Napoli last season and returned with a Serie A winner’s medal around his neck.

Although he wasn’t a starter during his time in Italy, it showed that he’s got the quality to play at a very high level.

Even at the start of pre-season, Ange Postecoglou was raving about him in training.

However, a knock picked up in training has limited his involvement this summer which might be the final nail in the coffin for his Tottenham career.

Postecoglou no longer sees a place for Ndombele in his squad and Tottenham want to sell him now.

There’s previously been interest this summer but they might end up making a huge loss on the midfielder.

Tottenham to sell Ndombele, he’s not in Postecoglou’s plans

Speaking about the Frenchman’s future, Galetti said: “At the moment, Ndombele is not a part of Postecoglou’s plans and Tottenham are working to sell him in the summer.

“For sure the experience was not so brilliant at Napoli last season and it hasn’t helped Tanguy to carve out an important role in the Spurs squad this year. Anyway, his future is still to be decided.”

The biggest problem at Tottenham right now is the sheer size of their first-team squad.

Micky Van de Ven and Alejo Veliz both arrived yesterday and it’s telling that they’ve been given squad numbers 37 and 36 respectively.

Postecoglou will know he has some tough decisions to make and he may be forced to sell Ndombele just to make space in the squad.

The 26-year-old still has a big future ahead of him in the game, but his never move is so important.

He needs to find a club willing to regularly play him in midfield alongside someone who provides defensive stability.

His fitness has also been an issue and making sure he doesn’t get burnt out is going to be important to his success or failure wherever he’s playing next season
