Tonight’s match between Tottenham and Chelsea was absolutely crazy, and the away team ultimately prevailed 4-1.

Even though Ange Postecoglou’s team lost badly in the end, a crazy evening saw red cards, goals disallowed, and penalties given. Nicolas Jackson finally ended his drought and improved his stat line with a hat-trick.

It marked the official end of Tottenham’s winning streak, and as a result, they are now trailing Manchester City in the title chase.

Spurs supporters were still satisfied with what they saw, though. Even though they were down 4-1 at the end of the game, the home crowd continued to support and encourage their team.

Gary Neville, who was watching on Sky Sports, said he was astounded by what he saw.

Neville said he was surprised by what he was seeing from the Tottenham supporters as the final whistle blew in North London.

It’s the first time I can remember seeing a 4-1 losing team receive a standing ovation. That night was crazy, crazy, Neville remarked.

Spurs supporters are used to seeing their team attack, and that is precisely what they did against Chelsea this evening—even with nine men.

It turned out to be somewhat of a pointless strategy, though, as Chelsea’s quick counterattack eventually gave them the goals they needed to win.

For Nicolas Jackson, it was truly paradise as he managed to sneak in a few simple finishes to greatly increase his self-assurance.

For his part, Ange Postecoglou will learn a great deal. Even though there will be advantages, it will be interesting to watch if he ever decides to change course.

However, given the evidence, we don’t think that will happen too soon.

Ange Postecoglou watched his Tottenham team lose 4-1 to Chelsea on Monday night, their first Premier League loss of the year.

Ange Postecoglou has given an update on James Maddison and Micky Van de Ven, who were both forced off the field due to injuries sustained during Tottenham’s 4-1 loss to Chelsea. After Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie were shown red cards, Spurs were down to nine men at the end of the match.

Dejan Kulasevski’s attempt was deflected into the Chelsea goal off Levi Colwill’s back, giving Spurs an early lead. After Romero fouled Enzo Fernandez, the Blues had two goals disallowed, and then the match descended into complete chaos. Romero was given a penalty.

Cole Palmer equalized for Mauricio Pochettino’s team from the penalty spot after the Spurs defender was sent off for the tackle. After the Dutch defender suffered a hamstring injury, Postecoglou lost Van de Ven.

Just moments before Van de Ven went down clutching his leg, Maddison was taken off at the same time due to an ankle injury. In the second half, Udogie was given his marching orders after fouling Raheem Sterling and receiving a second yellow card.

Spurs’ commitment to playing a high line was punished by Chelsea as Nicolas Jackson scored a hat-trick. Although the supporters of Tottenham were proud of their team’s heroic efforts, Postecoglou’s team ended up finishing second in the Premier League, one point behind Manchester City.

The Spurs manager gave an update on Maddison and Van de Ven following the game. Postecoglou stated, “He [Maddison] got a knock on the ankle.”

“We had already lost one man. At that point, it was reasonable to make a few adjustments.”

Postecoglou stated: “It’s too early” in reference to Van de Ven’s injury. It’s a pretty big one with Micky.”
