Exceptional player ‘will not’ sign new Tottenham Hotspur deal but will only leave on ‘one

Harry Kane’s Tottenham Hotspur future continues to remain a key talking point.

In spite of interest from Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich, Harry Kane ‘will not’ extend his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international’s contract with Spurs expires in just a year, and this summer a transfer away from the North London club has been rumored.

Early on in the transfer window, Manchester United was interested in him, but Daniel Levy made it clear that he would not give up the club’s prized possession to a direct rival.

It has made Munich the favorites to sign the striker, whose six-year term, which is entering its final season, was signed in 2018.

Kane has ‘refused’ to sign a new deal at Spurs and is open to a move to Bayern if the clubs can come to an agreement over a fee.

Reports earlier this week claimed Bayern had a second bid worth around £70m rejected for the player, but the German outfit are poised to return with another offer.

Kane won’t force a move away from the club, according to ESPN, and will only go if the two parties reach a deal. Otherwise, Spurs run the risk of losing him for free in a year. According to the source, if the player stays this summer and the team does well under new manager Ange Postecoglou, he might still be willing to sign a new contract for the following season.

Speaking at a Q&A during Spurs’ pre-season tour of Australia, Postecoglou revealed his hopes that Kane would stay with Tottenham.

When asked if Kane would be leading the line in the upcoming season, he answered, “I definitely hope so. “When you’re in this position, I’ve learnt that you have to deal with the certainties that are in front of you.

“There are too many things that may be floating in the air at any given time, causing you to lose concentration on what is the most important thing, if you start worrying about what happens if this happens and that happens.
