Tottenham Hotspur are set for more talks about Dejan Kulusevski’s future amid claims he has been offered to Newcastle United.
Dejan Kulusevski could end up with Newcastle United next season as confusion over his Tottenham Hotspur future continues.
The Chronicle report that Newcastle have now been offered the chance to purchase Kulusevski this summer
According to reports, Kulusevski is being courted by clubs throughout the Premier League since his future at Tottenham is uncertain. The Swede has spent the last 18 months on loan at Tottenham, with a €35 million (£30 million) buyout clause if he qualifies for the Champions League. Spurs, on the other hand, missed out on the top four and European competition entirely, and the Kulusevski clause is no longer relevant.
However, Juventus still wants to sell Kulusevski, and Newcastle have been given the opportunity to sign him. Newcastle are said to have monitored Kulusevski in the past and are now considering a move for the winger. Tottenham Hotspur are ready to hold additional negotiations with Dejan Kulusevski. Even after Kulusevski’s terrible season, Tottenham fans will be concerned. Kulusevski, dubbed a ‘great’ by Antonio Conte, is one of the few Tottenham players with finesse on the ball, and he should not be written off at the age of 23.
At the present, reports about his future are conflicting. According to the London World, Tottenham has urged Juventus to cut the sum for Kulusevski to £25 million. According to 90Min, new Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou isn’t completely sold on Kulusevski, and his future is uncertain.
Goal in Italy claim that a new meeting between Juventus and Tottenham is taking place in the coming days in an attempt to get a deal done.
Fabrizio Romano ads that Kulusevski is keen to stay at Tottenham with new talks coming soon.
It may well be that Juventus or Kulusevsi’s agents are putting out rumours of Newcastle’s interest to try and force Tottenham into a deal.
Kulusevski may be tempted by the idea of joining forces with Sweden teammate Alexander Isak at Newcastle, having previously hailed the striker.
We still think Tottenham eventually end up with Kulusevski, but there could be some tough negotiating ahead.
