‘Extraordinary’ – Journalist says Spurs player has amazing ‘attitude’ and ‘personality’

Once again, Guglielmo Vicario has drawn glowing reviews. This time, the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper’s ‘amazing’ start to life in North London has been praised by Italian journalist Umberto Chiariello.

Finding a replacement for Hugo Lloris this summer was one of Ange Postecoglou’s top concerns. The previous club captain and starting goalkeeper had a rather bad season the previous year and was almost ready to leave the team this summer.

In the end, Lloris stayed put despite Empoli signing Guglielmo Vicario. The Italian goalkeeper has easily adapted to the new-look Spurs squad and has already made a great first impression.

Many eyes are on attacking players like Heung-min Son and James Maddison because the Lilywhites have been unbeaten in the Premier League thus far. Vicario, meanwhile, has gotten a lot of acclaim for his efforts in the Spurs goal.

Journalist has enjoyed Vicario’s journey to the top

Journalist Umberto Chiarello mentioned Vicario as an example of how far one can go with a little perseverance and “personality” while discussing Serie A goalkeepers in an interview on Canale 21’s Campania Sport (via Tutto Napoli).

I’m curious about the goalkeeper’s attitude, he declared. I’ll use Vicario as an example. He served as Cragno’s backup at Cagliari, saw action for a month and a half as a result of the latter’s injury, and excelled.

“Cragno came back and sat on the bench; Vicario went to Empoli and had an incredible year, proving himself even in his second year.

“This child has developed from a reserve to a key goalkeeper now that Tottenham have signed him, and he is performing excellently. In his case, the personality is evident.

So far, Guglielmo Vicario has excelled, and hopefully he will continue to do so. I’ve seen very little to be critical of, but given his dedication to improving, he will want to refine his game even further.

Jamie Carragher says Spurs star is now one of his ‘favourite Premier League footballers’

The legendary Jamie Carragher of Liverpool has admitted that James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur is quickly becoming one of his favorite players in the Premier League.James Maddison celebrates

Carragher gushed about the former Leicester City player and compared the 26-year-old to two legendary Spurs players in his essay for The Telegraph.

James Maddison is quickly developing into one of my favorite Premier League players because of the way he plays and speaks like a player from the past.

Maddison appears to be the ideal Spurs player, carrying on the legacy of Glenn Hoddle and Paul Gascoigne as someone who makes fans happy.

Given Maddison’s early years with the Lilywhites, Carragher’s praise for the England international is very high indeed.

Is James Maddison the next Hoddle or Gascoigne?

The most innovative and dynamic performers of their age, Gascoigne and Hoddle, who both spent time at Tottenham, enthralled audiences with their displays.

Since Christian Eriksen left North London in January 2020, the team has lacked a spark in the middle of the field. Maddison appears to have restored that feeling of anticipation.

Looking back, it appears that Leicester City, who sold Maddison to Tottenham this summer for £40 million, received a good deal.

In the summer transfer window, Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich. The North London club was concerned about the 2023–24 season without the impact and contribution of their all-time leading scorer.

Ange Postecoglou faced a challenging challenge, but the Australian manager showed off his technical acumen by maximizing Tottenham’s assault, who had been playing free-flowing football.

Son Heung-min and Maddison have been the main drivers of Tottenham’s success thus far, and the former Leicester player appears to have developed a fantastic rapport with the South Korean international.

Along with Carragher, Maddison has won over many Tottenham supporters with his obvious talent and love for the North London team. It is hoped that Spurs’ number 10 will extend his winning streak for many more seasons and aid the North London team in ending their trophy drought.
