According to a source, Tottenham is negotiating a late-window loan price for Djed Spence with Leeds United that is more than £1 million.

The Championship powerhouses are in negotiations with the Premier League heavyweights to recruit the 23-year-old right-back on a season-long contract, but they are up against several opponents.

Spence’s loan from Spurs has been approved, but they demand a seven-figure loan charge and payment of his salaries.

In an effort to advance the transaction on Tuesday, Leeds is prepared to make Spence a loan offer.

After reaching an agreement earlier in the transfer window for Joe Rodon, they have already acquired one defender this summer on loan from Tottenham.

As a result of a large exodus of the team’s key players, manager Daniel Farke is seeking significant reinforcements in the closing days before the deadline.

Since joining Spurs from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2022 for an original fee of £12.5 million, which increased to £20 million with add-ons, the defender has only made six professional appearances.

The star, who was born in London, spent the second half of the previous season on loan at French team Rennes.

Brennan Johnson’s status is “very concrete” for Tottenham, according to Romano, “because Nottingham Forest today rejected a bid from Brentford for Johnson.”

Johnson is no longer a priority for Brentford, who are now looking at other players, and Tottenham are working on the transaction. The talks are still going on.

Prior of Friday’s deadline, Johnson seemed to have become Spurs’ top priority.

Postecoglou allegedly informed Tottenham that he wants them to sign the 22-year-old, according to Alasdair Gold.

The Welshman made an impact for Forest last time out, contributing to 11 goals in his Premier League debut.

After losing Kane, Spurs are undoubtedly searching for new forward options, and Johnson is an interesting one, even though he won’t be viewed as Kane’s replacement.

The Forest winger can move about the frontline and would give Dejan Kulusevski genuine competition on the right side.
