Perry Groves has questioned if Ange Postecoglou, the ‘elite’ Tottenham Hotspur manager, would accept the position of England manager.

There has been speculation that Gareth Southgate would step down as England’s manager following Euro 2024, which has sparked discussion regarding a potential successor.

Numerous names have been considered, including Pep Guardiola, the treble-winning coach of Manchester City, and Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United.

Perry Groves, a former Arsenal player, decided to put Ange Postecoglou’s name in the hat after seeing how well he did at Tottenham, as he said to talkSPORT.

The Australian of Greek descent became a legend at the Glasgow giants when he helped Celtic win the Triple last season.

But if Southgate does depart, Groves will talk about the need for a “elite” manager to be appointed, and every top coach from around Europe will be mentioned.

These players represent England’s highest level, according to Groves. “Therefore, I believe the top managers would be eager to accept this position.

Japhet Tanganga, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, spent the remainder of the season on loan with Augsburg of the Bundesliga.

This summer’s transfer window was quite active for Tottenham.

Under the new leadership of Ange Postecoglou, they underwent a rebuilding process. James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Guglielmo, Ashley Phillips, Micky van de Ven, Brennan Johnson, and Alejo Veliz were among the seven players they signed.

While these additions strengthened the team, Harry Kane’s high-profile move to Bayern Munich for a sizable sum signaled a significant change in the club’s dynamics.

Numerous more players, including Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Harry Winks, Alfie Devine, Troy Parrott, and Dane Scarlett, also left Spurs. Tottenham has entered a new era as a result of these changes.

Even after the transfer window closed, they kept busy. Deals were reached for Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga, two center-backs.

Tanganga was sent out on an initial loan while Sanchez left on a permanent basis.

Alasdair Gold has since revealed further information regarding his loan agreement and his future.

Regarding the future of the defender, Gold stated:

Japhet Tanganga hasn’t yet participated for Augsburg.

If you didn’t know, his loan has a buyout option that kicks in when specific conditions are satisfied, making it an obligation.

“I have a feeling one of those might be a good move for him if they stay up in the Bundesliga,” I said.

“Bundesliga is a good league for young players to go there and develop, and that will be good for Japhet.”

Tanganga joined Tottenham in 2019 and has since played 50 times for the organization.

The academy product, however, struggled to find consistent football and had a hard time breaking into the first squad.
