Alexander Nubel, the goalkeeper for Bayern Munich, is a target for Leeds United.

Nubel is rumored to prefer a permanent transfer away from the defending Bundesliga winners, with Bayern apparently favoring such a move.

Nubel played 97 times in all competitions during his two seasons on loan at AS Monaco, where he helped them finish third and sixth, respectively.

Despite the absence of specific offers so far, Leeds is actively searching for a new goalkeeper this summer as Illan Meslier is widely anticipated to leave.

Viktor Johansson and Karl Darlow are two other names that have been mentioned, but if rumours are to be believed, Nubel may be the front-runner for the part.

Nubel, who is 26 years old, is still a relatively inexperienced goalkeeper but has made over 150 appearances in some of Europe’s top leagues and tournaments.

Based on Nubel’s prior career, being able to force him into the Championship would be a major victory, but it does not seem impossible.

Leeds must speed up their hiring process during this transfer window, but Nubel would be a great place to start.
