“Deal in place and sealed” – Transfer expert confirms Tottenham have reached an agreement with defender

Prolific left-back for Tottenham Hotspur Destiny Udogie is almost certain to sign a new, long-term deal with the team, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Romano asserts that a deal is finalized and that the player and Spurs have come to an agreement to extend the Italian’s contract.

He shared the following update on X, formerly known as Twitter:

Exclusive: Tottenham and Destiny Udogie agree on a new, long-term contract for the Italian fullback.

Club insiders confirm a signed transaction and that everything is finished.Spurs are pleased with Udogie; a pay increase was agreed upon. Yesterday, Destiny scored the first goal for THFC.

Spurs’ happiness with the Italian fullback is evident from the new contract.

After his initial £15 million move from Udinese and a loan stint back in Serie A, Udogie’s development has been admirable.

After making his way back to Spurs this summer, the 21-year-old has established himself as a vital member of the team under manager Ange Postecoglou. He has demonstrated his abilities and made 14 league games, contributing with one goal and two assists.

He has only missed two games, both because of injuries or suspensions.

Destiny Udogie, a left back, has a new long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur after the club offered him a wage increase to remain in North London.

According to Fabricio Romano, Destiny Udogie will now remain at Tottenham Hotspur for an extended period of time.

In2022, Udogie finalized his £15.5 million transfer from Udinese by signing an official contract with Tottenham.

Before Udogie began his Premier League career this season, Spurs permitted him to spend the previous season on loan at Udinese.

Tottenham has now taken action to guarantee the future of the 21-year-old, who has shown exceptional play thus far this season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham and Udogie have now reached a deal to extend Udogie’s contract.

Romano thinks that after Udogie put new terms in writing, a “long term deal” is now in place and “all done.”

Romano continues, “Tottenham has increased Udogie’s salary after being impressed with his Premier League debut.”

Udogie, who opened the scoring for Tottenham in a 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday, has had a fantastic past twenty-four hours.

The truly amazing thing about Udogie is how, under Ange Postecoglou, he has totally transformed his playing style.

Udogie played left wing back for Udinese, giving the Serie A team genuine width by flying up the flank.

But Postecoglou plays a completely different style of football, bringing his full backs forward to act as extra attacking midfielders in addition to pushing them infield.

Udogie would not have been familiar with that, but Tottenham is witnessing his growth and success in that capacity.

Udogie has no limits, and Tottenham will be overjoyed to have secured his future for many years to come. He will undoubtedly play a significant role in Postecoglou’s squad.
