Carson Beck Catches Unexpected Strays After Controversial SEC Data Turns Fans Against Him…
something the analyst Daniel Jeremiah had noted on his counting report for Carson Beck.
Now why is that? Much like Manning, Beck excels when it comes to playing from the tight zones on the field and the pockets. He has this unnatural ability to filter through defenders and rush the ball. Jeremiah had even mentioned this in his report when he noted, “He can power the ball into tight windows.”
That ain’t all. Beck knows when to anticipate a throw and utilizes solid ball placements to secure TDs. Heck, he led Georgia to a 13-win run as their leading QB.
But then, why are fans calling him mid? PFF College took to X on August 22nd to share a new list of SEC Quarterback Rankings. As per PFF, Beck ranks in the No.1 spot on the list. Quinn Ewers and Jaxson Dart follow him on 2nd and 3rd spots, respectively.
It’s quite understandable why Beck is on top. If we look at the 2023 season stats, the kid pulled in 24 TDs and around 3900+ yards. He also managed to place the third on the FBS because of his recorded yards. His best performance was against the Wildcats, where he landed 4 TDs. The game ended with the Bulldogs grabbing the win at 51-13.
This ain’t even it. Even against Auburn, Beck managed to carry the team to a come-from-behind victory. After seeing the list by PFF, a fan took to X to write, “Am I crazy or is Carson Beck mid at best…?” This kind of makes no sense because if we look at stats alone, Beck is a solid player and deserves his spot on the top 5 list.
