Cowboys CEO Jerry Jones is Worried of Losing WR Ceedee Lamb After Lambs Send a terrifying Massage today

Cowboys’ Jerry Jones Shares Weird Take On CeeDee Lamb Extension

CeeDee Lamb is establishing himself as one of the best wide receivers in football, so you would think Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys would jump at the opportunity to give him a contract extension.

However, when you hear the Cowboys’ owner talk about it, you wonder if the team is really considering it at all.

It’s there,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas this week when asked about extension talks with Lamb (via the Cowboys’ team website). “As you know, all of our players have representation, so those conversations could be going on. They might not be going on. Right now, frankly, our minds are on going to play San Francisco.”

That is a rather strange response from Jones.

“I’m noodling it all the time,” he said. “And when I say noodle, when I noodle something relative to the Cowboys, it has a good chance of having action on it. … His contract is in my thoughts, but in a manner of speaking, all of them are.”

Well, okay then.

Because Lamb is now in his third NFL season, he is eligible for a new deal, but based on Jones’ comments, it doesn’t seem like something that is at the forefront of the front office’s mind at this point.

Through five games this year, Lamb has logged 27 catches for 358 yards and a touchdown.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Oklahoma, was selected by Dallas with the 17th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

After an impressive rookie campaign in which CeeDee Lamb caught 74 passes for 935 yards and five touchdowns, he proceeded to post back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons in 2021 and 2022, registering over 1,000 yards both times. Last season, Lamb hauled in 107 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine scores.

The Cowboys are 3-2 and are coming off of a brutal loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Jerry Jones needs to seriously consider what future he wants for his franchise.
