Tennessee picks up crystal ball projection for five-star 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon
A name to know.
We’ve got a long way to go until we wrap up the class of 2025, but a potential fit for Tennessee football in the class of 2026 has emerged. Faizon Brandon, a five-star quarterback out of Greensboro, North Carolina, received a crystal ball projection to Tennessee on Monday afternoon.
Steve Wiltfong, one of the best in the business, made the early prediction.
Tennessee has made a habit of adding elite arms since Josh Heupel and his staff arrived. Five-star Nico Iamaleava, four-star Jake Merklinger and five-star George MacIntyre are the latest in the pipeline, and Brandon could be the next in line.
Per On3, Brandon ranks as the tenth overall prospect in the class of 2026. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 1 overall prospect in the class.
The 6-4, 195 pound passer led Grimsley High School to a 13-1 record last season. Brandon threw for over 3,000 yards, impressively throwing 32 touchdowns against just three interceptions. Brandon ran for another 528 yards on the ground, scoring nine more times on the ground.
Brandon holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon and several other top schools. Tennessee has hosted Brandon on campus several times over the last 18 months, including trips to the South Carolina, Texas A&M and Georgia games last fall. He returned for a visit during spring practice this year, then camped with the Vols over this past weekend.
On the field, Brandon is praised for his big arm and dual-threat ability. One quick look at the highlights below show off that arm talent, with multiple big-time throws down the field. A skillset like his would fit any offense, but the thought of him playing in Heupel’s up-tempo spread is pretty exciting.
