‘Breaking’: Fabrizio Romano has just dropped big Ansu Fati transfer update tonight

The Ansu Fati transfer saga has taken several twists and turns tonight amid links with Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion

For a while, it merely appeared like Spurs and the Barcelona starlet were in contract negotiations.

Then, this evening, there were rumors claiming that, as far as Tottenham was concerned, it was 99 percent finished.

But according to several important news tonight, it suddenly appears that Tottenham may be defeated by Brighton just before the finish line.

Fati has received not one, but two significant updates from Fabrizio Romano, both of which are negative for Spurs supporters and positive for Seagulls supporters.

The 20-year-old had received an official loan bid from Brighton for Barca, according to the Italian’s first report on X.

Despite negotiations with the Blaugrana, it appears that Brennan Johnson is still Tottenham’s top target.

Romano merely continued by stating that Brighton are currently closing in on Fati, who has chosen to travel to the Seagulls as his next stop.

“Final green light soon, and then here we go,” the transfer insider continued.

This summer has seen a lot of these wild turns, which typically happen around deadline day or deadline eve.

For Tottenham, there was the Kane transfer saga, which had been teased for years but was almost surreal once it actually happened.

Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo sparked the Liverpool vs. Chelsea fight, and now, returning to Spurs, there’s this unexpected turn about Brighton and Fati.

Some dad joke about having to be on the lookout for gulls that fly in from nowhere.

Tottenham ‘table’ £86m bid for Brazil international who Levy is ‘obsessed’ with

According to rumours, Tottenham has launched a bid for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo, with Daniel Levy spearheading the effort to sign the Brazilian.

Harry Kane was allowed to leave Tottenham earlier in the summer transfer season for Bayern Munich for £86 million, while the final price might be closer to £100 million depending on different add-ons.

This summer, they failed to adequately replace the England international; instead, Brazilian international Richarlison served as the team’s primary striker.

There have even been rumors that Tottenham spent the money from the sale of Kane in advance of letting their top goal scorer depart the team.

Despite their Carabao Cup loss to Fulham on Tuesday night, Ange Postecoglou’s side has had a successful start to the post-Kane era with seven points from their first three Premier League games while playing front-foot offensive football.

Postecoglou, however, is still eager to bolster his squad with a number of attacking players, such as Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest and Ansu Fati from Barcelona.

The Spanish newspaper Nacional now claims that Tottenham has “made an offer” to Real Madrid for Rodrygo, with €100 million (£86 million) on the “table” for Florentino Perez to consider.

After the 22-year-old Brazilian international made 34 appearances in La Liga last season, contributing nine goals and eight assists, Spurs chairman Levy is rumored to be “obsessed” with the player.

But with the small window of time until the transfer deadline on September 1st, finding a suitable replacement and accepting Tottenham’s offer “seems like an impossible mission” for Real Madrid.

If Real Madrid had been successful in acquiring Kylian Mbappe this summer and now “cannot afford to lose more players in attack,” it might have been “possible.”

And because the La Liga team “will not even consider selling” Rodrygo before the end of the window, Tottenham will be forced to “look for other alternatives.”

Regarding the player’s sentiments, Nacional continues, “Rodrygo, for his part, has never thought about leaving Madrid.”He is really happy in his current position and is at ease in Spain’s capital. He also won’t depart to play for a less ambitious team, like Tottenham.

Before the close of the transfer window, there have been rumors that Clement Lenglet, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham, could return to the club. However, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Postecoglou was never interested.

“Heading out of Barcelona could be Clement Lenglet, with Aston Villa looking at him as a potential replacement for Tyrone Mings after his injury,” Romano wrote in his Caught Offside column. He was desired by two Spanish teams, but what about Tottenham after his loan season there last year?

“Contrary to widespread rumors, my knowledge has always been that Tottenham was never in discussions to sign Lenglet once more. Despite rumors during the summer, there were never actual negotiations. Spurs always had distinct goals, and new manager Ange Postecoglou had a different idea of what that position should entail.
