Bayern Munich set to return with huge bid for Harry Kane

A Sky Sports journalist has provided a fresh update on Harry Kane’s future, with Bayern Munich set to submit another bid.

On Wednesday afternoon David Ornstein claimed Bayern and Tottenham remain apart in their valuation of Kane following fresh talks, with the striker leaning towards staying at the Premier League club.

Spurs rejected a third proposal from Bayern for Kane, worth an alleged £85million, after seeing bids in June and July also turned down.

Talks over a potential transfer allegedly continued on Monday evening but a gap in valuation remains for the England captain.

Bayern’s interest remains however, and with Kane reluctant to move once the new season has started, the Bavarian giants are set to bid again.

Bayern Munich set to submit new Kane bid

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claimed Bayern want to submit a new offer for Kane either today (Wednesday) or tomorrow.

Moreover, Plettenberg added that the new offer is set to be worth around €110million (£94million) with add-ons included, which is £6million short of the Tottenham’s £100million asking price.

Kane is currently preparing for Sunday’s Premier League opener, and according to the Athletic he has enjoyed working under the new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou in pre-season.

Kane played a central part in the club’s summer tour of Australia and Singapore, and even netted four goals in a 5-1 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday.

After that game Postecoglou admitted that he was in “open dialogue” with Kane and the club hierarchy about the situation.

The Australian added: “We can’t wait (around) for a decision either way to get going. We don’t have the time or the luxury to do that. You saw today that Harry certainly is invested in what we’re doing and we’ll keep on doing that unless something changes.”

Kane has one year left on his contract with Tottenham and there have been no indications the forward would be willing to extend it.

If chairman Daniel Levy elects to keep Kane, who is the club’s record scorer, they would likely lose the talisman for three next term.

Tottenham Hotspur want Mehdi Taremi and the Porto striker would seemingly jump at the chance to play in England.

Mehdi Taremi ‘will not hesitate’ to make a Premier League move this summer amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

That is according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, who claim that Taremi has always wanted to play in the Premier League.

That means Taremi will jump at a move to England even if interest from Inter Milan materialises.

Tottenham are understood to be very interested but Porto are demanding a fee of at least €30million (£26milion).

Porto won’t let Taremi leave before Wednesday’s Super Cup final against Benfica but things could move after that.

Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported over the weekend that Tottenham had opened talks with Porto over a deal for Taremi.

It was suggested that Tottenham were prepared to pay €24million (£20.75million), about £5million short of the asking price.

Portuguese newspaper Record added that Taremi may use the Super Cup clash with Benfica as a goodbye to the Porto fans.

Tottenham appear to be very interested and the Iranian would love a move to the Premier League.

Mehdi Taremi an interesting option for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham’s interest in Taremi surely hinges on Harry Kane potentially moving on to Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants haven’t yet given up hope of landing Kane despite so far failing to convince Tottenham into selling.

Taremi has been a sensation for Porto, smashing 80 goals and 49 assists in 147 appearances since a 2020 move from Rio Ave.

Last season saw Taremi rack up 31 goals and 14 assists in a remarkable campaign – and those assist numbers may be why Tottenham have an interest.

Taremi has shown the ability to score, lead the line and create, possibly able to bring some aspects that Kane provides.

This wouldn’t be a long-term solution for Tottenham though given that Taremi is already 31.

Tottenham won’t want to spend too much on that kind of profile but Taremi would seemingly love the move to North London and he will be watching Kane’s situation very closely
