Arsenal set to hijack the deal as Club sets €25m for 24years-old Tottenham central-back target- report

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur insist on signing Galatasaray centre-back Victor Nelsson this summer, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.

The Arsenal have enjoyed a successful opening to the transfer window. Kai Havertz has already been signed, while Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber might show up this week.

Although Timber is mostly a center back but can also play right back, the team is still rumored to be interested in signing another center back.

Goncalo Inacio of Sporting Lisbon has lately been touted as a target, and now, according to Fanatik, Arsenal and Spurs are competing for Nelsson’s services.

Sevilla expressed interest in the 24-year-old last summer, but Galatasaray persuaded him to stay for another season.

The Dane is now determined to pursue a fresh challenge away from Istanbul. Galatasaray fear that his €25 million release clause could be triggered.

It is claimed that Nelsson is ‘persistently wanted’ by Arsenal and Spurs.

ARSENAL UNLIKELY TO PURSUE ANOTHER CENTRE-BACK

Arsenal presently has plenty of choices for their center defense.

Right now, there is no question that William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should be chosen. The job can also be filled by Timber, Jakub Kiwior, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Rob Holding.

After spending time on loan at Birmingham City, Auston Trusty is another possibility in the lineup. We believe it is doubtful that the club would spend this summer on a new center-back.

Instead, a few departures might occur. We think Trusty and Holding might make their way to the door leading out.

Nelsson is therefore more likely to be signed by Spurs. Davinson Sanchez has already received a €9 million bid from Galatasaray. Spurs might utilize him as a makeweight in order to acquire Nelsson.

Spurs are reportedly still interested in signing the ‘unbelievable’ player who  scored more free kicks than Maddison last season.

James Ward-Prowse is anticipated to leave Southampton this summer, and Tottenham Hotspur is still interested in acquiring him.

According to The Daily Mail, who also asserts that West Ham is interested in Ward-Prowse, such is the case.Spurs have had a promising start to the summer transfer season as they have already made moves to sign James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario.Manor Solomon is reportedly due to undergo his medical at Tottenham today after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Although it is anticipated that Tottenham will prioritize adding defensive reinforcements next, it appears they are still interested in signing James Ward-Prowse, a midfielder.

Spurs remain interested in Ward-Prowse

According to The Daily Mail, along with fellow Londoners Fulham, Spurs and West Ham are interested in signing Ward-Prowse this summer.

The 28-year-old is mentioned as likely to depart St. Mary’s following Southampton’s Premier League relegation.

Over the previous few years, Ward-Prowse has excelled for Southampton, and it appears that he will depart the south coast this summer.

Over the years, he has developed a reputation as a superb free-kick taker. Last season, he scored four goals from dead-ball situations.

Of course, James Maddison, an Englishman who scored twice from direct free kicks during the previous season, has already been a set-piece expert introduced to the Tottenham team.

Although Tottenham is said to have long-standing interest in the Saints captain, it would be unexpected if they made a move for him this summer.

Although Ward-Prowse has put on some “unbelievable” displays for Southampton, Spurs already have alternatives to the Englishman.

Although Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s future at the club is uncertain, they might need to replace the Dane later in the window.
