‘A big loss’: Neil Lennon pleads for Celtic star to stay amid suggestions he could leave

One of the concerns expressed by Celtic supporters upon signing Nicolas Kuhn was what this would entail for the bench players.

Given that Brendan Rodgers supports the transfer and that the offensive areas are already crowded, it is certain that the squad is getting set to lose a few players.

One possibility is Celtic rookie Rocco Vata, who can play both inside and on the flanks. Neil Lennon has expressed his desire for the 18-year-old to remain, speaking with Viaplay on January 21, 24 at 6:05 p.m.

In the Scottish Cup on Sunday at Parkhead, Celtic defeated Buckie Thistle 5-0. Rocco Vata scored in the game after coming off the bench, and Brendan Rodgers responded to his appearance.

Neil Lennon drew attention to the player’s rumored departure and the possibility that he might go to Italy.

The writing is seemingly on the wall for Rocco Vata, as his current contract is set to expire in the summer and there are currently no indications that he will sign a new agreement.

However, Neil Lennon emphasized the caliber at his feet and said he must make a “big decision.”

Rocco Vata’s future at Celtic

Lennon declared, “It’s brilliant old-fashioned wing play (from Mikey Johnston)”. “As a manager, I really enjoyed achieving these goals.

“When you were paired with proficient strikers. They appeared to be in the right spot at the right time every time. Mikey makes a brilliant play, and Rocco scores his first goal shortly after.

It’s excellent for the fledgling nation. There has been some conjecture that he might be going. However, I believe he is a highly talented youngster, thus I think it would be a huge loss.

“(Vata having more chances) I hope so. He was rewarded for taking on Buckie Thistle. being on the team, having some playing time, and scoring a goal. What the player wants to achieve personally will be up to him. Few teams offer the opportunity to play for a boss as exceptional as Brendan.

“I truly hope he stays for his own good, but maybe it’s a big decision for him to make.”

Brendan Rodgers decision

Since the Celtics manager often observes Vata in training, the supporters should have faith in him and support his decision if he is glad for the player to depart.

This month, Rodgers felt the need to bolster the quality on the sides despite having a plenty of choices to choose from in the closing third.

Rather than in these upcoming weeks, the ultimate test of whether he gets this right will be felt next season.

However, Vata believes that Rodgers as a manager and Celtic as a platform—particularly in the Champions League—are ideal for him.
