Due to the international nature of football this season, Tottenham could find itself in a terrible predicament.

Tottenham Hotspur may be without its key trio of Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, and captain Heung-min Son for the Asian Games and AFCON, which begin in January.

Depending on how far Mali and Senegal advance in the African Cup of Nations, Bissouma and Sarr could miss six weeks of club action.

Similar to Heung-min Son, Jurgen Klinsmann’s Taegeuk Warriors will be visiting Qatar from the middle of January through the first week of February.

Tottenham will play Manchester United, Brentford, Everton, and Brighton during this time.

Ange Postecoglou will face a significant challenge after a fantastic campaign debut.

Tottenham is currently leading the league and has not yet lost. They have drew two games and won six.

Ange Postecoglou won manager of the month twice in a row, and Son won player of the month in September after Maddison did so the previous month.

Tottenham’s season has had a fairytale start, but their squad is not the biggest, and losing three players who have been so important to Spurs could hurt their season.

If Spurs want to continue competing for a spot in the top 4, and possibly even the league if they are still in it by then, they may need to plan ahead and bring in some reinforcements in January.

Emerson Royal of Tottenham Hotspur has been selected for the Brazil team to play Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday (Official).

The Brazilian wasn’t originally included to the team for the two international games this week, but Danilo’s injury has left the team shorthanded at right back.

The right-back most recently helped Spurs finish off a 1-0 victory against Luton Town despite having 10 men on the field.

Emerson was hand-picked to fill a vacancy in the team this week and will now switch Spurs training for a World Cup qualifier, suggesting that he still enjoys high regard inside the Brazil setup.

Postecoglou obviously has a lot of faith in Emerson to step up and perform well off the bench under trying circumstances. In these kinds of circumstances, the comparison between Porro and Emerson is useful because the former is more better moving forward yet the latter may predict an outcome.
