Sons’ decision on rumors of him being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia

Spurs would not consider any proposals for the South Korean forward, who Al-Ittihad wants to pair with Karim Benzema up front.

Heung-min Son is hesitant to relocate to Saudi Arabia, despite Al-Ittihad’s apparent interest in the Tottenham striker..

This summer, Al-Ittihad have already signed former Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema on a free transfer and are on the approach of completing a big deal for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, as part of a campaign by elite Saudi teams to sign some of Europe’s finest names.They are now said to be preparing a bid worth over £50million for Son, although Spurs would not be interested in considering any approach for the forward.

The South Korean, who will turn 31 next month, is not expected to be interested in a move to the Gulf at this stage of his career, despite Al-Ittihad apparently offering him a long-term contract for around £25 million each season.

Son has two years left on his Spurs deal and was named Premier League Golden Boot winner in 2021-22. Last season, he struggled to reach the same heights, but he still scored 10 League goals and six assists as Spurs finished ninth.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Lucas Moura, who departed the club on a free transfer at the end of his contract earlier this month, has also piqued the curiosity of Saudi teams.
