After a strong start in the Premier League with Tottenham, Australian manager Ange Postecoglou is attracting attention. The next to join the ‘Angeball’ bandwagon is music icon Robbie Williams.
With two victories and a draw from his first three matches, Postecoglou, the first Australian to manage a team in England’s premier division, is third in the standings.
Postegelou had his critics when he accepted the position, but his attacking philosophy, which he developed over the course of his career in the A-League, J-League, and Scotland and has come to be known as Angeball, has attracted attention.
Williams obviously noticed because he dedicated a special version of his popular 1997 song “Angels” to the Spurs boss.
Before concluding, the singer makes mention of former Spurs coaches Christian Gross, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, and Mauricio Pochettino.
Williams utters the following when the video comes to an end: “I guess I’m a Spurs fan now then.”
Most recently, when Postegelou responded to Gary Neville’s criticism of mimicking Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s usage of inverted full-backs, the English press liked his sarcastic sense of humor.
No secret exists; I’m just copying Pep, mate. When asked about the remarks on TNT sport that left former England internationals Joe Cole and Peter Crouch in stitches, Postecoglou responded.

This past weekend, the 26-year-old midfielder scored his first goal for his new team in addition to two assists in the opening match against Brentford. Let’s just say that Maddison has already shown himself to be a superb acquisition, making his £40 million asking price seem like a bargain.
Gary Lineker praises Tottenham’s James Maddison
It is hardly surprising that Gary Lineker, a former Tottenham and Leicester City striker, praised the playmaker after witnessing Maddison orchestrate things once more for Spurs against Bournemouth.
After the game, Lineker simply wrote on Twitter, “Spurs fans, you’ve got one helluva player in [James Maddison].”
We all likely agreed that paying £40 million for Maddison was a decent deal at the time, but his quick start in these first few matches has revealed just how good of a deal we truly got.
He truly gets under our skin and is such a threat moving ahead. He is also showing excellent leadership qualities, which makes him a very useful asset for us this season.
