21-YEAR-OLD RELEASED BY TOTTENHAM JOINS BUNDESLIGA CLUB ON TRIAL

Kallum Cesay was let go by Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and he has since joined Werder Bremen on trial.

Following his departure from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, Kallum Cesay has been given the chance to excel for Werder Bremen.

Not every young Tottenham player has the potential to succeed like Harry Kane.

In fact, with Tottenham struggling to develop young players, even making the first team has been a difficult task lately.

Cesay is currently looking for first-team action in Germany after some young players must move on for that abroad.

Werder Bremen take Kallum Cesay on trial

Cesay was let go by Tottenham in the summer after failing to make a serious effort to play for the first team in North London.

Cesay, a right defender or midfielder, spent his formative years with West Ham United before joining Tottenham.

The 21-year-old, who competes for Sierra Leone internationally, was fired and has struggled to find work as a free agent.

Cesay tried out for the Norwegian team Haugesund earlier this summer, but he was unable to sign a contract.

Werder Bremen of the Bundesliga has now stated via Twitter that Cesay has been given a trial and will train with the team over the next few days.

Following his promotion, Cesay now has a strong chance to join a team in one of Europe’s top five divisions.

Clemens Fritz comments on Cesay trial

According to Clement Fritz, the director of football at Werder, the Bundesliga has known about Cesay’s talent for some time.

According to Fritz, Werder was given the opportunity to examine Cesay, and they took it, transporting him to Germany.

Cesay’s adaptability and his’very good’ education in the Tottenham youth ranks, according to Firtz, were two major selling points.

The former defender continued by saying that no decision has been made as of yet because Cesay is scheduled to train over the “next few days.”

“We have known him for a long time. He was offered to us and the international break is now a good time for it. Kallum is a young player who enjoyed a very good education at Tottenham. He can be used flexibly and can play multiple positions.”

“The plan is initially for the player to train with us for the next few days. Then we’ll see how it goes. A decision is not yet in sight. It can go either way,” he added.
